Cultivated Abundance This dynamic, 2200 SF intensive green roof with commanding views of New York Harbor sets a new precedent for cultivated abundance. Agricultural features include a square foot garden for urban agriculture, a cold frame for continuous harvest, vertical frames for climbing vegetables, a fruit orchard, herbal knot garden, and berry patch. Rolling landscapes enfold entertainment areas with lush plantings, creating privacy and framing views for a series of outdoor rooms. Diners sit beneath a sail-shaped wood and steel pergola and overlook iridescent, double-helix glass fountains. An exotic alpine garden takes advantage of the rooftop microclimate to display miniature specimen plantings.
