The green roof design developed for Clermont Greene was inspired by the unique architectural layout for the high-end residential condominium towers which flank the central space.   The entire courtyard is constructed above an underground parking garage and the green oval represents creativity and a “new start” for this modern housing complex in Brooklyn's historic Fort Greene neighborhood. The birch trees were selected for their reflective white bark and slender branches that sway in the wind providing motion and visual interest.  The water feature not only serves to punctuate a central focal point but provides white noise which reverberates throughout the space providing an auditory escape from the urban backdrop.
