Strengthening the Security and Safety of the United Nations Premises
New York, New York
Mark K. Morrison facilitated a working session with stakeholders and decisionmakers on developing a strategy and design for perimeter access control for the United Nations’ New York City Campus. The working session was part of a two day Security Experts consultative meeting sponsored by the United Nations Security Consultation Committee.
Guided by the information gained from this security design working session, MKMLA completed a site security study, developed concept design alternatives, prepared preliminary design drawings and contract documents for a new perimeter steel fence with vehicular and pedestrian access points and gates. Perimeter Fence design options were based on the historic International Design Style originally developed for the site.
