Summer Residence

Faced with the challenges of a restricted hilltop site between the ocean and the bay, this summer residence’s landscape gracefully addressed the issues of a one story elevation change between the arrival court and the front door by providing a naturalistic path with bluestone treads winding through a summer blooming perennial garden.

A variety of hardy low maintenance native plants that could withstand exposure to harsh winds and salt were planted in large sweeping beds to provide perimeter gardens that bloom throughout the summer months. We engineered a turf driveway— to eliminate the necessity of an extensive hardscape parking court.
