Creating opportunities for the homeowner to experience the full beauty of their native landscape was the focus of this private residence adjacent to Twin Lake in Salisbury, Connecticut.

This project created a bucolic walk from the house through a series of landscape experiences down to the lake. The bluestone walk initiates from the back porch of the house then meanders through a variety of perennial gardens and then down a stone stair through an arched canopy of viburnums.  The path skirts the pastoral lawns with specimen shade trees  through a woodland border which provides year-round seasonal interest to a woodland path down to the lake.
