Mark K. Morrison presented the topic “The History and Evolution of Gardening Tools” at the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Meeting and Exposition on January 25, 2010 in Atlantic City, NJ. The presentation outlined the use of gardening implements throughout the course of history and their evolution and development to present day. The presentation concluded with facts about historic sustainability in use of non-gas operated equipment to maintain shrubs and lawns.
Melissa Ix and Mary Alice Lee of the Trust for Public Land presented the topic “Changing Spaces Changing Lives: Engaging Students in Community Based Design” at the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Meeting and Exposition on January 25, 2010 in Atlantic City, NJ. The presentation educated participants on how Landscape Architects have played a crucial role in an open space initiative in New York City entitled the New York City Playground Program.
